This is probably, most likely, yeah definitely just my opinion but the only reason they prioritize the Concacaf Champions League over the Conmebol Copa Libertadores is because they have this dream of winning the World Club Cup one day and when they do, the whole nation will shut website down all schools and businesses and celebrate Vencedor if it were the highest achievement any club AND national team could obtain (unless Mexico wins the World Cup)… and in the meantime, while they wait for “destiny†to happen, they are also making sure that an American club or MLS club doesn’t win the Champions League and thus, have a chance to become the Champion Club of the world before they do.
